Summer Umpire Meeting #5 -Strike Zone Workshop
Submitted by Daniel Blower on Wed, 2008-07-23 11:48
As always this meeting is open to begining thru advanced baseball umpires. The plan for this meeting is to have a workshop discussion of strike zone development. The goal is to help umpires develop an approach or plan for each game and gain helpfull information on how to work the plan. When and why might we adjust our approach? What information is needed to evaluate the effectiveness of our approach?
Look for more information and a list of information/ thoughts to prepare for this meeting.

Very informative
Thanks Dan for the instruction. I found it very informative and using the count to anticipate certain pitches and if a batter is likely to swing or not is very helpful. I found myself thinking about that tonight as I called a game at the Playfields in Davis.
