Canceled Games per Bill Gubel

Infomation was passed on to me by Bill Gubel today concerning the follow up procedure for canceled games.
If you are notified by Bill thru email that your game is canceled, make sure you log onto Arbiter and go to your schedule. Bill tells me that by doing so he is notified by Arbiter that you received the notice. He then knows you got the message and if there are any games available, he can assign one of those spots to you so you may not miss a game.
I'm new at this so I didn't know. I hope my mistake will not be repeated by someone else.
