2010 Kickoff for Classroom 2
The 2010 season for NCOA is starting up. You're assigned to classroom 2, with instructors Kevin Swinhart, Adam Kalsey, and Gordon Davidson.
If you haven't already registered for the 2010 season, visit http://sacumpires.com/ncoa-signup to get registered. If you're not planning on registering or attending class this year, let me know and we'll remove you from the list.
The first class is this coming Monday, January 11 at 6pm at Rio Tierra Junior High. A full schedule of classes, clinics, and other events can be found a http://sacumpires.com/calendar
For the first few classes, please bring your hat, mask, and indicator, as we'll be working on a number of drills that will require them. It's also a good idea to bring a pen and writing pad to take notes and write down information that's given out in the general meeting.
I'd also ask that you take a minute to make sure you have a photo on your profiles on SacUmpires and on Arbiter Sports. Putting a photo up helps your fellow umpires locate you at the meetings and at game sites. Make sure your photo shows your face. We all look pretty much the same in our masks, so a picture of you in gear on the field isn't terribly useful. A clear snapshot of you without a hat or sunglasses is best.
Finally, if you haven't taken the preseason test yet, please complete it. We want all members to pass this test with a score of at least 75% by February 1. It's at http://sacumpires.com/quiz/ncoa-2010-pre-season-test
Any questions at all, please email or call me.
