Umpire Training
Does anyone know of any upcoming clinics in the Sacramento area? I am a first year umpire that has the "bug" big time and am looking for any training or instruction. Any help would be great.
Dana,
Starting in a few weeks will be fall ball at Sac City college, this is a HS league that plays four days a week. These games are for umpire training and are not paid. However it is a great opportunity to practice our skills in a not competitive setting, as the games are practice for the teams as well. I myself have used this for the last three years and found it to be a great help once the next season begins.
Good Luck,

Larry, How can I find out the dates and times?
JOHN
John,
The dates and times should be coming out within the next few weeks, at least thats how it has been in the past. Once that happens the games will posted under events on this web site.

I believe there will be a clinic coming up put on by Little League Section 4 this month. Keep checking here for details.
Dana,
Circle September 13 and 20 on your calendar. There will be a free umpire clinic held both days at American River College from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM. Register on this site. It's the best training you can get in the Sacramento area. You'll get a fantastic start on your umpire career at these clinics. Hope to see you there.

The dates and times for the fall scrimmages have been posted under Events. Make sure to sign up for any scrimmages you plan on attending.
Once again, Swanny & crew (too many to thank by name) did a great job with the Saturday clinic @ ARC. As a rookie just finishing 1st year with NCOA/RCOA there's ALWAYS something I take away to add to my growth as an umpire.
Thanks again to the entire crew of instructors
Is this clinic open to anyone, or just to Little League Umps? Where can I get cost info?
